Accounting Technician

This is a full-time position.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Two or more years of public accounting experience.
  • A strong understanding of compilation, review, and audit engagements.
  • A strong understanding of corporate and personal tax.
  • Bookkeeping knowledge / experience.
  • GST / HST knowledge / experience.
  • Investment company record keeping for high-net-worth clients.
  • Experience in owner-managed businesses, charities, and not-for-profit organizations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in CaseWare, CCH iFirm/Taxprep/Profile and Microsoft Office.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Assist with client record keeping.
  • Prepare client assurance and non-assurance engagements.
  • Prepare working papers, year end financial statements and corporate tax returns for large corporate groups, in accordance with firm standards, for owner-managed and not-for-profit clients in a wide variety of industries, both independently and in a team environment.
  • Prepare T1 personal tax returns.
