About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on and motivated Shop Floor Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing and assembly operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working directly on the shop floor, and is passionate about developing people and improving processes.
You will play a key role in ensuring efficient production, maintaining quality standards, and supporting the growth of both the team and the company. This position requires strong leadership, a proactive mindset, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves and contribute alongside the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Involving in daily shop floor activities, including assembly, fabrication, and testing of equipment
- Lead by example with hands-on involvement in production tasks as needed
- Train, mentor, and develop shop floor employees to improve skills, performance, and safety awareness
- Monitor workflow, prioritize tasks, and ensure production schedules and project deadlines are met
- Promote and enforce workplace safety standards and company policies
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and management to ensure smooth operations and issue resolution
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, efficiency gains, and waste reduction
- Maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation
- Support inventory coordination, material handling, and equipment readiness
What We’re Looking For
- Strong hands-on experience in a manufacturing or industrial shop environment
- Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate a team on the shop floor
- Solid understanding of mechanical systems such as compressors, dryers, blowers, or similar industrial equipment
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- A proactive, growth-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
- Willingness to take initiative and contribute to the company’s long-term success
Qualifications
- Diploma or certification in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Manufacturing, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory)
- 3–5 years of relevant shop floor supervisory experience
- Experience with fabrication, assembly processes, and general shop practices
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment
