About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on and motivated Shop Floor Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing and assembly operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working directly on the shop floor, and is passionate about developing people and improving processes.

You will play a key role in ensuring efficient production, maintaining quality standards, and supporting the growth of both the team and the company. This position requires strong leadership, a proactive mindset, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves and contribute alongside the team.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Involving in daily shop floor activities, including assembly, fabrication, and testing of equipment
  • Lead by example with hands-on involvement in production tasks as needed
  • Train, mentor, and develop shop floor employees to improve skills, performance, and safety awareness
  • Monitor workflow, prioritize tasks, and ensure production schedules and project deadlines are met
  • Promote and enforce workplace safety standards and company policies
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and management to ensure smooth operations and issue resolution
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, efficiency gains, and waste reduction
  • Maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation
  • Support inventory coordination, material handling, and equipment readiness

 

What We’re Looking For

 

  • Strong hands-on experience in a manufacturing or industrial shop environment
  • Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate a team on the shop floor
  • Solid understanding of mechanical systems such as compressors, dryers, blowers, or similar industrial equipment
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
  • A proactive, growth-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Willingness to take initiative and contribute to the company’s long-term success

 

Qualifications

 

  • Diploma or certification in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Manufacturing, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory)
  • 3–5 years of relevant shop floor supervisory experience
  • Experience with fabrication, assembly processes, and general shop practices
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment
