Salute to Women Lunch Event

The Cambridge Chamber of Commerce is once again set to host its very popular Women in Business’ Luncheon on Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2022.  This event will also be streamed live for those individuals that are not yet comfortable with in-person events.

This year we are featuring two guest speakers.

Virtually joining us will be Kellylee Evans, Juno Award-Winning Singer-Songwriter

Evans is an internationally-acclaimed performer who has been making waves around the world with her energy-charged performances. She shares her inspirational journey of recovery and showcases the importance of self-care and finding your superpower. Evans’ keynotes resonate with anyone who has ever had their life interrupted by an illness or a setback.

With multiple albums to her name and a gruelling touring schedule, Evans experienced a life altering event in 2013 when she was struck by lightning while washing dishes in her home. For several months, she worked to regain her health, stamina, and balance, however, in 2015, she suffered a devastating concussion that left her unable to tour. For the next two years, this mother of three dedicated herself to recovery so she could get back to making and sharing her music.

In the summer of 2017, Evans triumphantly returned to the stage, and in 2018 her album Come On was nominated at the Juno Awards for Vocal Jazz Album of the Year.

When she’s not on tour, Evans also takes the stage to share her story in hopes of inspiring others to find their superpower even in the face of adversity. Combining storytelling with music, she creates a memorable experience for all audiences.

Our in-person guest speaker will be Sheri Roberts; Accessibility Advocate

Once again, our event will include a silent auction with 100% of the proceeds being directed to the Breast Reconstruction Services at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital.

This will ensure we have the tools to offer surgery locally and allow patients to access specialized care closer to home. Your contribution will go a long way in supporting this year’s silent auction and will show your commitment and continued support for the Cambridge community.

We ask for your support in helping us achieve our $10,000 goal this year.

On behalf of the Cambridge Chamber of Commerce, we would like to thank you for your consideration in helping us help other women in our community.  It is greatly appreciated.
