Cambridge Chamber recognizing successes at Business Achievement Awards

The extraordinary accomplishments of our business community following a tough year will be recognized at the Cambridge of Chamber’s annual Business Achievement Awards.

The event will be held virtually on Thursday, May 27, which marks the first time the awards will be presented in spring.

“It’s been an incredible year for many businesses, and we hope recognizing their efforts in spring will not only boost their morale but show them how much we have appreciated their commitment to our community,” says Cambridge Chamber of Commerce President & CEO Greg Durocher.

The Chamber’s adjudicating committee will meet in April to review more than 60 nominations to select the recipients in nine categories, as well selecting the winner of the prestigious Chair’s Award from among those nominees.

Selecting the winners in any of the categories is a task Durocher says is never easy.

“Even in a normal year it can be very difficult, but this past year so many businesses have pivoted and accomplished great things to meet the challenges of this pandemic head-on it’s going to be hard to choose,” he says.

The Business Achievement Awards is the Chamber’s premier event and has honoured the contributions and achievements of business leaders since 2000.

“The awards are a great way to recognize the amazing efforts of our business community and leaders that makes our region a great place to live and work,” says Durocher.

The winners will be selected to recognize the achievements of organizations and entrepreneurs who have made outstanding contributions in the past year.
