Communications Assistant - Contract
Hybrid Remote in Waterloo Region

This is a great opportunity to gain experience and use your skills in marketing, graphic design and social media management to inspire our community to live sustainably. Assist with the planning of practical virtual workshops and community-focused events. Develop a greater understanding of environmental sustainability, the challenges of climate change and the importance of communicating the need to decrease greenhouse gas emissions locally, in support of our 80% greenhouse gas reduction target by 2050.

Reep Green Solutions is an environmental charity that helps people in Waterloo Region live sustainably. The role of the Communications Assistant
In this role, you will work closely with our Communications Manager to achieve organizational communications goals. You will use your knowledge of social media and marketing to support Reep communications goals in 2024.
This role is partially funded through Eco Canada; To be eligible for this position you MUST meet the following criteria:
Term: This is a 16 week placement from January 2nd 2024 – April 19th 2024 with the possibility of extension dependent on funding.
Salary: Hourly rate for the role is $19.95 per hour, set to reflect our commitment to providing a living wage for all of our team members.
Hours: 35 hours per week, this role is a hybrid role with flexible hours. We are a virtual workplace with some in person events and meetings on occasion.
